BIGSSS welcomes Dr. Adekunle Adedeji and Jyoti Sharma
We are happy to welcome Adekunle Adedeji as a Postdoctoral Visiting Fellow for the year 2023 and Jyoti Sharma as new PhD Visiting Fellow for the months of April and May 2023.
About Adekunle Adedeji
Dr. Adekunle Adedeji is a researcher with a background in public health and a particular interest in the experiences and outcomes of marginalised groups. He is currently a Feodor Lynen-Return Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and a member of the research group on health behaviour and diversity at the Faculty of life sciences, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.
Dr. Adedeji's research focuses on understanding the role of social characteristics and experiences in determining life outcomes among minority groups. He is particularly interested in the impact of adverse experiences on the mental health and well-being of individuals from marginalised backgrounds.
His current project involves developing and validating a meta-contextual measure of microaggression. He will remain at BIGSSS until the end of 2023 at the Constructor University Campus.
About Jyoti Sharma
Jyoti Sharma is a doctoral researcher at Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow. She completed her Master of Arts in Sociology from Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi and graduated in Sociology from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. Her research work has been presented at multiple national and international conferences. Her research interest comprises the Work-life balance, Sociology of work, Gender Roles, Health and well-being, and Organisational Socialisation.
Jyoti Sharma is staying at BIGSSS for the months April and May 2023. She is located at the University of Bremen’s Campus at Unicom.
