Congratulations Gamze and Tanya!


The DFG-funded Research Training Group (RTG) “Social Dynamics of the Self” (SELF) is celebrating a proud milestone: the first two Fellows from the 2021 cohort, Gamze Ipek and Tanya Keni, have successfully defended their dissertations. Their achievements mark a significant moment for BIGSSS' interdisciplinary PhD program.

Honor, Dignity, and Migration: Navigating Cultural Norms and Threat Responses among Native Indians, Germans, and Indian Migrants in Germany. 

 

The DFG-funded RTG Self is a joint venture of University of Bremen and Constructor University that offers doctoral training for a total of 14 dissertation researchers in the disciplines of psychology, sociology and political science. 


We are incredibly proud of Gamze and Tanya for their effort, hard work and contributions to their respective fields. Their successful defenses exemplify the interdisciplinary excellence and collaborative spirit of the SELF RTG. It’s wonderful to see how their research has come together and we’re excited to see where their journeys will take them next. We look forward to celebrating many more successes from our SELF Fellows in the years to come.
