We are looking for a new student assistant to support us in our daily operations with 25 hours/month workload starting from October 1.

The job offers interesting and diverse insights into the daily operations of running a graduate school. In this context, the main tasks of our student assistant are:

  • Assisting with the organization, preparation and execution of events,
  • assisting with research tasks and the collection, processing and maintenance of data,
  • help with the creation of informational, communication and PR materials,
  • assisting with internal and external communication for the institute,
  • providing general administrative and organizational support for the institute’s day-to-day operations.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Very good knowledge of German and English,
  • very good knowledge of the common MS Office programs, 
  • independent, diligent and structured way of working as well as punctual handling of deadlines,
  • at least two semesters of study experience (MA students preferred), desirable would be a background in cultural studies, humanities, media science, economics or social sciences.

A large share of the regular tasks can be carried out remotely (home office). In the context of preparing and running events, flexible working hours may be required. On-site presence is required during events. A desk in the office can be provided if needed.
